July 2014 Instagram Challenge: #IndependenceARMy & #YogaInTheCity

July 1, 2014 By Monica Stone-Thompson 2 Comments

The last Instagram Challenge was a little challenging. And yes, I DID intend that pun. If you’ve been following my blog, you know that I was super busy and completely scattered as I had to move. I was back and forth posting the postures for June, but this time, I’m completely IN! Thank you everyone for following me and supporting me regardless. You are all amazing and wonderful!

I’m super excited and 100% committed to this this next challenge, so much  that I’m going to add to it a little!

Rather than just post a picture of the posture given everyday by @KinoYoga, MY GOAL is to take a picture in a different area of Orlando. It might be as simple as in my driveway  (or yours – just let me know!) or in front of a shopping center, store, park, beach, etc.

Here’s the July Challenge! Are you in?

Follow the above on Instagram! Check @KinoYoga to see the post of the day, and then tag everyone & use the hashtags!

I’d love suggestions on where to take my pictures, so please comment below or on the string I’m going to start on Facebook here —–> Monica’s Facebook @ The Yogi Movement. I also invite you to join me in taking pictures all around the city that you live in! In addition to the #independenceARMy hashtag please also use #YogaInTheCity, and follow me so we can support each other! I’ll follow you back!

I’d love to see where you live while you’re spreading the yoga love!

Things are looking up:

  • Mercury in Retrograde just ended
  • New Place To Live
  • New Instagram Challenge
  • And, I just signed up for Foodie Pen Pals again! Man, did I miss that! I LOVE Foodie Pen Pals! You can see my old FPP posts here

Here’s my first post! I took a bunch of pictures all over my house!

Happy July Everyone! Stay Cool!

Me too. I’m usually not a believer, but I had excel sheets that were crashing. I dropped my phone! There were definite electronic things going wrong!

Have you ever heard of the 4 seals of dharma? They are the 4 things that make you a buddhist, and all emotions are painful is the first one. That sounds crazy! What about love and happiness? How is that painful? Well haven't you ever had love and lost it? What if you got a brand new car & then got into a car accident right after? Or simply, what if you won an award, and then a few hours go by? The high goes away, right? All emotions lead to pain... but here's why it's actually a good thing... keep reading...
